From 20th to 22nd October, Catalyst for Change Vietnam was selected to join the ASEAN Social Enterprise Development Programme 4.0 (ASEAN SEDP 4.0) - a prestigious regional initiative aimed at equipping purpose-driven organizations across Southeast Asia with the tools, networks, and resources needed to scale their social impact.

What began as a virtual learning journey with tailored training, mentorship, and networking sessions culminated in an experience we will never forget: ASEAN SEDP 4.0 Demo Day and the Regional Workshop in Bangkok.

6th Place at Demo Day: A Milestone for Her Space

Demo Day was more than just a competition—it was a platform to share our story, our mission, and our hopes for the women we serve in Vietnam.

We were incredibly honored to place 6th out of all participating social enterprises, receiving a grant to implement our newest initiative: Her Space.

Her Space is a cultural tour project that invites both locals and international visitors into the lived experiences of Vietnamese women, through immersive storytelling, community-led experiences, and connection to Vietnam’s rich and often overlooked female heritage.

With this grant, we are bringing to life an idea that has long been rooted in our mission: to amplify the voices of marginalized women and transform them into leaders, storytellers, and cultural ambassadors in their own right.

Learning, Sharing, and Connecting in Bangkok

Our founder - Hong Tang, traveled to Bangkok for the ASEAN SEDP 4.0 Regional Workshop, a gathering of some of the region’s most inspiring social enterprises.

Throughout the workshop, she engaged in:

  • Fireside Chats where alumni and participants shared deeply personal stories of transformation

  • The talk show “Beyond Unicorns: Designing Growth for Impact, Not Just Scale,” a reminder that meaningful growth isn’t always about getting bigger—it’s about staying rooted in our communities

  • A Social Enterprise Sharing Session, which created space for us to learn from the diverse challenges and solutions found across ASEAN

  • A Business Matchmaking Session that, while not resulting in investment for C4C this time, opened doors to new relationships and future collaboration

Perhaps most importantly, we had a one-on-one Monitoring Meeting with the ASEAN Foundation, a space for honest reflection on our progress and impact. We were proud to share how we’re using the grant to build Her Space and amplify the voices of the women we work with.

Launching the Our Women Digital Magazine

As Her Space kicks off, we’re equally proud to announce the launch of the first edition of our Our Women Digital Magazine, a visual and narrative companion to our work.

This magazine is a collection of:

  • Photo essays from the communities we work in

  • First-person stories from the women whose resilience inspires us daily

  • Behind-the-scenes reflections on how Her Space was born

We invite you to explore this powerful, intimate look into the lives and stories that shape our mission 👉 Read it here

Looking Ahead

ASEAN SEDP 4.0 has given us more than just funding. It’s given us clarity, confidence, and community.

Clarity in refining a model that keeps impact at the center of growth. Confidence to lead, pitch, and represent grassroots Vietnamese stories on a regional stage.Community in the form of new friendships, potential partners, and a powerful support network of fellow changemakers across ASEAN.

C4C returned to Vietnam energized, not just by the award, but by the knowledge that our story matters, and so do the stories of the women we stand beside every day.

The journey continues....
