This International Women’s Day (08th of March, 2026), Catalyst for Change Vietnam marked a meaningful milestone with the soft opening of HerKitchen, bringing this vision to life for the very first time.

located at 244 Nguyen Tat Thanh, Hoi An, is a welcoming community space where guests can experience Vietnamese coffee, premium Shan Tuyet ancient teas, signature drinks, and light culinary experiences. More than just a café, it is a place to connect, where visitors can meet the women behind the HerKitchen journey, hear their stories, and gain a deeper understanding of the program’s impact.
A Taste of Culture and Connection
The afternoon unfolded with a delightful spread of sweet treats, cakes, and freshly brewed coffee. Guests also enjoyed comforting Vietnamese dishes such as bún chả and xôi xéo, bringing familiar flavors into a space that felt both intimate and welcoming.
One of the highlights was a hands-on experience in making Vietnamese salted coffee, where guests could explore the balance of bold coffee and creamy, savory foam, a reflection of Vietnam’s rich and evolving coffee culture.

Moments of Stillness and Reflection
Amid the lively conversations, there were also moments of calm. A sound healing session with singing bowls offered a peaceful pause, allowing guests to slow down, breathe, and reconnect with themselves.
Another special experience was the tasting of Shan Tuyet tea, a rare ancient tea grown in the high mountains of Vietnam. Slowly brewed and shared, the tea invited guests into a quiet ritual of appreciation, for nature, tradition, and the stories behind each cup.
More Than a Space
More than just a soft opening, HerKitchen felt like the beginning of something meaningful, a space where stories are shared, cultures are celebrated, and women’s journeys are honored. It is a place where community can grow, where learning happens naturally, and where every interaction carries purpose.
As part of Catalyst for Change’s mission, HerKitchen is not only about food and drinks, it is about creating opportunities, building confidence, and opening pathways for women to share their skills and stories with the world.
