What You'll Experience:
1. Arrival and welcome
You are welcomed into the kitchen with a refreshing drink and seasonal fruits, giving you a chance to relax and connect with the group.
2. Introduction to HerKitchen and Central cuisine
You’ll be introduced to HerKitchen and the women behind it, followed by a short introduction to the rich culinary identity of Central Vietnam.
3. Discovering local ingredients
You’ll explore the herbs, noodles, toppings, and seasonings that give Central Vietnamese cuisine its bold and layered character.
4. Optional market or farm visit
Depending on where the session takes place, you may visit a local market in Da Nang or a farm in Hoi An to experience the ingredients in their local context.
5. Meeting the women behind the experience
Back in the kitchen, you’ll hear brief stories from the women who host the session, adding a human dimension to the meal you’re about to create together.
6. Hands-on cooking session
You’ll prepare Mì Quảng and fresh rice-paper rolls in small groups, guided step by step. This part of the experience is active, hands-on, and full of flavor.
7. Salted coffee workshop
You’ll also learn to prepare cà phê muối, a unique regional specialty that combines rich coffee with a creamy salted topping.
8. Shared meal and exchange
Once the dishes are complete, everyone comes together around the table to enjoy the meal, share reflections, and ask questions.
9. Farewell
You leave with new culinary skills, a stronger connection to Central Vietnam, and the memory of a table shared with warmth and generosity.
