About HerSpace

WHAT WE DO

HerSpace Experiences is the community-facing branch of the initiative, operating under the Community Engagement Program of Catalyst for Change Vietnam. In this program, women who have completed HerSpace training offer cultural and wellness experiences to visitors in Da Nang and Hoi An.

OUR EXPERIENCES

These experiences allow guests to connect with Vietnamese culture while supporting women's economic independence and empowerment. Activities may include mindful movement practices, cultural storytelling sessions, traditional wellness rituals, beach-based activities, culinary experiences, and nature exploration.

WHAT MAKES US
UNIQUE

What makes HerSpace experiences unique is the authentic connection between visitors and local women. Facilitators bring their personal journeys, cultural knowledge, and lived experiences into each session, creating meaningful encounters that go beyond typical tourism activities.

OUR IMPACT

Through these interactions, HerSpace builds bridges between cultures while generating sustainable livelihoods for women rebuilding their lives.

RETREAT ELEMENTS

HerSpace Culinary Experience (half day):
This immersive experience invites participants to step into the heart of a Vietnamese kitchen. Guided by single mothers training as chefs through HerKitchen, participants learn to brew cà phê phin and transform it into creative variations like egg or salt coffee. They also prepare daily Vietnamese comfort dishes, such as bún nem or cơm rang, and discover how these simple meals can be adapted into endless flavors, just as local families do every day. Storytelling and cultural insights make this more than a cooking class, it’s an intimate window into resilience, family life, and joy.

Offer programs:
Cooking class + coffee/tea making: $35
Cooking class: $25
Coffee/tea making: $10

Upcoming:
HerSpace Retreat: “Coming Home to Myself” (7 Days):
A quarterly retreat held in Da Nang and Hội An for women seeking deep healing, empowerment, and connection. This 7-day journey combines trauma-informed group work, gentle somatic practices, nature immersion, creative arts, and Vietnamese healing foods. Highlights include forest walks, a quiet solo ritual walk in Hội An ancient town at dawn, and breathtaking views from Hải Vân Pass—inviting participants to see their challenges from a new perspective. Guided by professional facilitators, the retreat fosters cross-cultural sisterhood and profound inner calm, supporting women to return home to themselves—restored, renewed, and reconnected.”
