Taking the leap to volunteer abroad is an exciting decision, and at C4C, we're here to guide you every step of the way. We pride ourselves on providing a supportive and well-structured experience for all our volunteers, ensuring you feel prepared, appreciated, and empowered throughout your journey.

Here's an inside look at what you can expect when you volunteer with Catalyst for Change Vietnam (C4C):

PRE PROGRAM: Getting You Ready for Vietnam

Get in touch: You may get to know Catalyst for Change Vietnam through our partnerships with organizations like DIZ from Germany, Gotoco from the UK, or through platforms like Worldpackers, Idealist, and our website. Once you've applied through these channels, we'll get in touch via WhatsApp – our primary communication tool – to get to know you better. We'll answer your questions and share our comprehensive Guidebook, packed with details about our programs in Vietnam.

The C4C Interview: To ensure a mutually beneficial experience, we hold a friendly interview to learn about your skills, experience, and motivations for volunteering. This helps us determine the program that best suits your passions and goals.

Securing Your Spot: Once you're approved, we'll send you all the necessary documents and the application form. Upon receiving your completed application and deposit, we'll officially welcome you to the C4C family!

Preparing for Takeoff: With your placement confirmed, we'll share everything you need to know about your host organization, including their location, the type of work you'll be doing, and details about your accommodation. We'll guide you through the e-visa application process and provide resources for booking flights.

Pre-Departure Support: Before you land in Vietnam, we'll connect you with your host to arrange your airport pickup. You'll be added to our exclusive C4C Volunteers Network WhatsApp group, a vibrant community of current volunteers where you can ask questions, share experiences, and build friendships. Plus, we'll host a pre-departure webinar to cover essential cultural insights and practical tips, ensuring a smooth transition into Vietnamese life.

DURING PROGRAM: Making a Difference Together

Welcome to Vietnam!: Upon arrival, you'll be welcomed with open arms by your host organization and fellow C4C volunteers.

Meetup Magic: We believe in the power of connection! We organize regular meetups and workshops, both online and offline in major cities like Hanoi, Ho Chi Minh City, and Da Nang. These events provide opportunities to connect with other volunteers, share stories, and create lasting memories.

Continuous Support: Throughout your journey, our dedicated team is just a message away. We provide ongoing support and check-ins to address any concerns or questions you may have, ensuring you feel comfortable and confident in your volunteer role.

POST-PROGRAM: Carrying the C4C Spirit Forward

Celebrating Your Contribution: As your volunteer program concludes, we'll present you with a certificate of completion and a personalized recommendation letter. Those who complete our 6-month TESOL program will also receive a TEFL/TESOL certificate.

Sharing Your Story: Your experiences are invaluable! We encourage you to share your volunteer journey with us through a testimonial video. Your story can inspire others to join our mission and make a difference in the lives of women and children in Vietnam.

Staying Connected: Volunteering with C4C is more than just an experience – it's the beginning of a lifelong connection. We value your feedback and encourage you to complete our post-volunteering survey, helping us learn and grow.

Choosing to volunteer with C4C means choosing a journey of growth, impact, and cultural immersion. We're committed to providing you with the support, resources, and community you need to thrive in Vietnam while making a tangible difference in the world.
