This month's Hope Express “Following you to school” took place in Cửa Đại on the 22.12.2024. The Hope Express is a component of our ongoing program, The Empowerment Plan, and dedicated to providing meaningful gifts directly to single mothers and their children, as children in Vietnam are often confronted with limited access to educational resources. The event aims to enable students to continue their studies without worrying about lacking basic educational materials. This event reflects our commitment to bringing hope and support, ensuring that people are never alone on their journey.
From Da Nang the C4C staff and the office volunteers made their way to People's Committee of Cua Dai Ward a local venue based in Cửa Đại. Cửa Đại is a coastal area in Quảng Nam Province, located near the ancient town of Hội An. It is well-known for its scenic beauty and historical significance.
40 students participating in the Hope Express attend different primary and secondary schools. These schools frequently struggle to supply essential materials for their students due to limited resources.
Scooted together in a car the C4C team arrived on a sunny morning. We were greeted with open arms. After setting up everything, the event could start. The children arrived, some of them with their parents and the atmosphere grew excited and lively.
The event began with fun and interactive games, organised by Hong Thao, this month’s event MC. Afterwards Thuy and Ms. Tran Thi Bich Tram - Chairwoman of the Ward Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee Ms. Le Thi Le Vinh - Chairwoman of the Ward Women's Union held a touching speech. They shared more information about the event introducing the sponsorship of C4C and the influence of sharing their
Mission.
After the speech that highlighted the significance of unity and compassion in supporting the next generation, the volunteers started handing the children the gifts. Each given set included a backpack, notebooks, and essential school supplies. As the students received their backpacks, their faces lit up, serving as a reminder of the impact of acts of kindness.
This event was made possible thanks to the amazing support of our partners, Goodera and TikTok. Their generous sponsorship has enabled us to provide essential resources to every child. By collaborating with us, Goodera and TikTok have demonstrated that together, we can make a profound impact on lives through education. It’s a powerful reminder that united efforts can drive meaningful and lasting changes. The trip to Cua Dai was especially memorable for us volunteers who got to take part in their first Hope Express. For us volunteers it was very educational, the memories of the journey don’t end here. C4C Vietnam is dedicated to continuing its mission, spreading hope, reaching out to more communities across the country and thrilled to have played a small part in encouraging children.
Stay tuned for more updates on C4C Vietnam's upcoming event in Hope Express!
