Hope Express is a key event under the Empowerment Plan at Catalyst for Change, focusing on delivering meaningful gifts directly to single mothers and their children. This meaningful event represents our dedication to offering hope, support, and happiness to those who need it the most. From essential items for children to personalized gifts for mothers, each package is thoughtfully crafted to inspire and uplift. Through Hope Express, we're not just delivering goods. We’re sharing a message of resilience, love, and community, ensuring that they are never alone on their journey. Therefore, on September 4th, C4C Vietnam collaborated with the Women's Union of Dong Hoi City to organize the "Hope Express: Journey to School" event. This heartwarming event aimed to bring joy and support to disadvantaged children in the city by distributing essential school supplies for the new academic year.
The event took place at a local venue. When arriving there, we - representing C4C Vietnam - were suprised by the lively atmosphere. Children gathered together with their parents, eager to participate in the program. The day kicked off with a series of fun and interactive games that engaged both children and adults, creating a sense of community and excitement.
155 gift packages from Goodera were distributed to orphans and children of single mothers
The official event began with a heartfelt speech by the Chairwoman of the Women's Union of Dong Hoi City. She shared about the unexpected meeting with C4C. Beside that, she also expressed her gratitude for the collaboration with C4C Vietnam and highlighted the shared concern of both organizations: to support disadvantaged children and ensure they have necessary school supplies for new academic year 2024 -2025. Her words resonated with the audience, emphasizing the importance of unity and compassion in supporting the next generation.
The highlight of the event was the much-anticipated gift-giving ceremony. Thanks to our partners’ generous sponsorship - Goodera and Tiktok, 155 gift packages containing backpacks, notebooks, and other school supplies were distributed to orphans and children of single mothers in Dong Hoi City. The joy and gratitude on the children's faces as they received their gifts were truly heartwarming. As many children expressed how happy they were when receiving the gifts. They shared that these presents would be the motivation, encouraging them to study harder and excel in the coming school year. These simple items represented more than just school supplies, they symbolized hope, opportunity, and the belief that they are valued members of their community.
In the spirit of the new school year, C4C Vietnam is thrilled to have played a small part in bringing happiness to children. Beside that, we are deeply grateful to the Women’s Union of Dong Hoi City and our partners, Goodera and Tiktok for their amazing support in making the "Hope Express" event successful. Together, we have delivered not just gifts but also hope, joy, and encouragement to underprivileged youth in the community, helping to brighten their futures as they embark on a new academic journey.
