Children in the remote areas of Vietnam are often confronted with limited access to educational resources. Recently, Hope Express, an event under TEP Program by C4C Vietnam, went on a journey to bring happiness and support to students of Rao Con village, a small village in Quang Binh province.
Nestled in the Phong Nha region of Bo Trach district, Rao Con village entails 62 households and 257 residents, all of whom belong to the Bru-Van Kieu ethnic group. Life here is challenging, as 100% of the families live in poverty. Although facing inadequate educational resources, children are incredibly hardworking and determined to learn, often going the extra mile to go to school. Therefore, with determination to make a difference, Catalyst for Change Vietnam collaborated with the Women's Union of Dong Hoi City to deliver essential school supplies to unprivileged students as they begin a new academic year.
Mission to spread hope and empowerment
We went to Phong Nha Primary School No.2 - Secondary School, which has 9 classes with 57 students and 11 teachers and staff members. Additionally, there’s a kindergarten with 25 children and 2 teachers. With limited access to resources, these schools often face challenges in providing necessary materials for their students.
As a token of our love and hope, we presented 45 gift sets to disadvantaged students, wishing them a wonderful and warm new school year. Each set included a backpack, notebooks, and essential school supplies. These gifts might seem small, but they carry the hopes and dreams of young learners who, despite their challenging circumstances, are eager to continue their education.
With a personal touch, the team handpicked items for each gift set, ensuring that every student felt encouraged and empowered. These are more than just supplies, they represent hope, encouragement, and the belief that students are capable of achieving great things, no matter their circumstances. It's also a simple yet powerful way to help students begin the school year with happiness, love and motivation to study better.
The smiles on their faces, as they received gift sets, were priceless. For many, this support represents a chance to continue their studies without the worry of lacking basic educational materials. The children eagerly tried on their new backpacks, flipped through the fresh pages of their notebooks and explored the stationery that would accompany them on their learning journey.

A big thank you to Goodera and TikTok for making children's dreams come true
This event wouldn't have been possible without the incredible support of our partners, Goodera and TikTok. Thanks for their generous sponsorship, we can provide these essential resources to every child. By joining with C4C Vietnam, Goodera and TikTok showed us that together, we can truly change lives through education. It's a powerful reminder that when we work hand-in-hand, we can create lasting change.
Hope Express is more than just a single event—it’s part of an ongoing effort by C4C Vietnam to support communities in need across the country. By providing essential resources, the initiative aims to break down barriers to education, ensuring that every child, regardless of their background, has the opportunity to learn and grow.
The trip to Rao Con village was a memorable memories but the journey doesn’t end here. C4C Vietnam is dedicated to continuing its mission, spreading hope and reaching out to even more communities across the country.
Stay tuned for more updates on C4C Vietnam's upcoming event in Hope Express!
